Wood Products Warranty

Effective April 1, 2007.

AICO warrants its wood furniture to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from date of delivery to the consumer.  Please keep your original delivery receipt, as it will be required for any warranty claim.  This warranty is not transferable and does not apply to merchandise purchased “as is” (i.e. floor samples or clearance center items). This warranty does not apply to AICO furniture purchased from a non-authorized AICO dealer.

All claims must be directed to the AICO retail dealer from whom the merchandise was originally purchased, along with original delivery receipt and item serial number.

The following conditions apply to this Warranty except where prohibited by law:

1. The warranty is only valid to the original user/consumer.

2. This warranty only applies under conditions of normal residential usage and does not apply to defects or damage resulting from negligence, abuse or misuse, including but not limited to inadequate or improper maintenance, improper cleaning, or exposure to chemicals and/or liquids, or fading caused by exposure to sunlight. Please refer to www.amini.com for specific “Furniture Care” instructions

3.This warranty does not apply to any use for which the product was not designed, or for commercial usage, which includes rental, business, commercial, institutional or other non-residential use, or to transportation or delivery damages.

4. Because of the craftsmanship and materials involved in the manufacturing process, minor differences and finish variations will occur from piece to piece. Therefore, this warranty does not cover those minor differences or finish variations, or any differences between floor samples, printed illustrations, Internet photos or other visual displays.

5. Any modification or alteration of AICO furniture products, inclusive of electrical components, will void the warranty.

6. Under the terms of this limited warranty, AICO will either repair or replace the defective item.  Repair or replacement is strictly at AICO’s discretion.

7. All warranty claims must initially be presented to the authorized AICO retail dealer where the furniture was purchased. The dated proof of delivery and item serial number are required for warranty validation. If retailer is no longer in business, please email: info@amini.com for assistance. 

8. AICO assumes no responsibility for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damage, so these limitations may not apply to you.

9. AICO is not responsible for transportation costs between the consumer and the AICO retail dealer for warranty and repair issues.

Upholstery Warranty

AICO warrants its upholstery products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the length of time specified below.  Please keep your original delivery receipt, as it will be required for any warranty claim.  This warranty is not transferable and does not apply to merchandise purchased “as is” (i.e. floor samples or clearance center items). This warranty does not apply to AICO furniture purchased from a non-authorized AICO dealer.

All claims must be directed to the AICO retail dealer from whom the merchandise was originally purchased, along with original delivery receipt and item serial number.

Frames:
AICO warrants to the original owner/consumer that the upholstered frame will be free from manufacturing defects for the life of the product. This warranty applies for the lifetime of the product as long as it remains upholstered in the original fabric and is used under normal residential wear and conditions.  This warranty does not apply to AICO furniture purchased second hand or from a non-authorized AICO dealer.

Springs:
AICO warrants to the original owner/consumer that the springs will be free from manufacturing defects for the life of the product.  This warranty applies for the lifetime of the product as long as it remains upholstered in the original fabric and is used under normal residential wear and conditions.  This warranty does not apply to AICO furniture purchased second hand or from a non-authorized AICO dealer.

Show Wood:
AICO warrants to the original owner/consumer that the exposed finished wood trim will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from date of delivery to the consumer. 

Cushions:
AICO warrants to the original owner/consumer that the cushions will be free from manufacturing defects for a period of three (3) years from the date of delivery to the consumer. It should be noted that a slight softening and loss of resiliency will occur in all foam, polyester fiber, and other filling materials as a normal result of use and aging and is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Fabrics:
Are only warranted to the extent of the warranty provided by the fabric suppliers to AICO.  Manufacturers of upholstery fabrics typically do not guarantee their products for wear because they cannot control its use.  Color fastness, shrinkage, and pilling of fabrics are not covered under this warranty.Consistent with major fabric producers and furniture manufacturers, AICO in its sole discretion may refuse warranty coverage where “after market” fabric, leather protectors, or coatings have been applied.  Chemicals in these applications can change the characteristics of certain fabrics and cause early failure, color changes, and other damage.  We appreciate your understanding of this policy.
